I did it! July 12-14, 2002
I walked 60 miles over 3 days...San Jose to San Francisco
4,600 people walked along with me!
I used my feet to fight for the rights of my boobs... your boobs... ALL boobs. Well, I'm glad I did that.
When I returned, less than a month after the walk, I went for a mammogram -- a lump was determined to be cancerous. I had surgery in October 1, started chemo on Halloween straight through til Spring, then Radiation til Summer 2003.
I believe I did that walk for a reason, not knowing. I walked with survivors, friends, children & partners of people affected by breast cancer. I witnessed first-hand that life truly is precious and people are stronger than you'll ever know. And never, never, never give up. I thought the walk was hard... but chemo was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Like the walk, I survived it with the love and support of many wonderful, giving, caring people.
This year I'm CREW for the Kansas City Breast Cancer 3-Day, June 17 -19.
First and foremost, I'm asking you to volunteer, too! We need 400 people to staff this event and if you can put up markers, hand out lunches, or do clean up, any effort would be appreciated. OR you can WALK! Hey, I did it -- you can, too. OR you can donate here:

Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!!!
